1963 Buick Riviera Sports Coupe 2 Door Hardtop
1963 Buick Riviera Sports Coupe - - study the lines and design of this car...it's difficult to believe this was a production car when it so closely resembles a Concept Car. Finished in it's original elegant Bronze Mist finish, original Sandlewood vinyl upholstery, factory air conditioning, same owner from 1965 until 2006, all records from 1965 nicely presented in a 3-ring binder. Equipped with the original matching numbers 401cid/325hp "JT" code V8 engine, 4bbl carburetor, automatic transmission, bucket seats, center console with floor shifter, power steering, power brakes, power drivers seat, tilt steering wheel, dual exhaust, outside rearview mirror with remote control, Sonomatic AM radio, clock, day/night rearview mirror, speed warning indicator, full wheel disks, spare tire/jack/lug wrench. We purchased this car from the estate of the deceased in February 2007. We then sold the car to a collector friend in St. Louis and he removed the plastic seat covers (see photo) that had been in place for decades and the original upholstery was revealed to be in very good condition. This Riviera is all original with the exception of the passenger door being re-painted. The many receipts that accompany this car indicate that the actual miles are 116,877 (the odometer reads 16,877). The old bias-ply tires will need to be replaced and the exhaust system is old and is in need of repair. Additionally, there are minor paint blemishes which is to be expected on a 47 year old car. Passenger door repaint aside, this is an original car with head turning, jaw-dropping styling.
